A couple of months ago we were approached to do our first designer collaboration.

The very talented Morgan Carper, who works out of her DUMBO studio, asked if Visnja would develop some samples for her SS2011 dress collection. Immediately, we liked the idea of working with a local designer to help her create something truly unique — and liked that she was reaching out to local artisans to help create particular woven pieces.

It took a few weeks, but the samples came out beautifully and Morgan was happy. I post this now, because her look book is finally out! It’s really something to see the individual samples made, along side the initial drawings, and how they are used in the final product.

I do wish we could see a liiiittle closer up. But fun nonetheless!
Looking forward to the other opportunities that are arising…We should have some great products ready for Holiday Craft Markets.
